Father Ivan Dornic Funeral Mass
For decades, Father Dornic served the Baltimore area with profound devotion and unwavering faith, touching the lives of countless individuals. Beyond the Baltimore area, Father Dornic’s influence reached deeply into the Slavic and Eastern European communities, serving as President of the National Slavic Convention from 1980 to 1991, hosting numerous of Slavic Heritage Events, and founding the National Slavic Museum. He also championed affordable housing for immigrants and low-income residents: the Lemko House in Baltimore, founded under his vision, provided safe homes for many. His legacy is one of deep faith, tireless service, and a life dedicated to uplifting those who struggled the most.
We invite you to join us in honoring his extraordinary life on Saturday October 11th at St Mary´s Church, Mass starting at 11am. Viewings will be held at Schimunek Funeral Home in Nottingham on Thursday 6-9pm and Friday 2-4pm and 6-9pm. Please see both the attached letter and also the website link from the funeral home below detailing the viewing and funeral times.
